Irrigation Technician

Job Duties

• Communicate with Business Manager, sales team, and others to ensure a high level of communication, exceptional quality standards, and efficient job performance is consistently met.
• Ensure daily administrative tasks (i.e. inventory tracking, time entry, DOT pre-trip, etc.) are completed promptly and accurately.
• Perform all irrigation maintenance and repair tasks including identifying water sources, locating isolation valves, replacing, and adjusting irrigation heads, programming irrigation schedule.
• Evaluate and document start-ups, winterization, and overall operation of the irrigation system in irrigation software program to provide communication to client.
• Maintain and properly store equipment.
• Ability to perform seasonal snow and ice removal tasks during winter months. Plowing, shoveling, salt applications, and various other duties as assigned.
• Supervise or manage areas/zones as desired with direction from snow management team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Landscape Water Management Operations.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Time management skills.
• Creative problem solving, organization skills.
• Valid driver’s license, and an insurable driving record.
• Bilingual - Spanish a plus.
• Highschool Diploma or equivalent.
• A Bachelor’s or associate degree in Horticulture or related fields of study is preferred.
• Able to lift/carry materials up to 50lbs on a regular and consistent basis, move about the work site.
• Requires extended periods of activity including, walking, standing, kneeling, bending and lifting, up to 100% of a workday.
• Frequently exposed to exterior elements (i.e. pollen, chemicals, cold and heat etc.).
• Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, extreme cold, and extreme heat.

Pay

Position Range: $25.00 - $40.00
