IRP - Endoscopy Technician

About the Role

Under supervision, assists in operations in the endoscopic setting. Responsibilities include helping set up the operating room, preparing and transporting patients for surgery, adjusting lights and equipment, passing instruments and supplies to surgeons and assistants, holding retractors, cutting sutures, and assisting with counts of sponges, needles, supplies, and instruments during endoscopy procedures. This position requires direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Operates and handles equipment properly during endoscopic procedures.
• Assists in prepping the room for the next patient.
• Ensures endoscope equipment is in working order.
• Hangs, sets up, troubleshoots, and tests the function of endoscopes (suction, air/water, irrigation, etc.) before procedures begin.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Surgical Technology or a related field (experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree).
• 1-2 years of Endoscopy Tech experience preferred.
• Critical thinking and strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Able to read and understand work-related documents.
• Detail-oriented and meticulous.
• Basic understanding of endoscopy procedures and clinical practices.
• Familiarity with endoscopic equipment and procedures.

Pay

$50–$54 per hour.

Schedule

• Temporary position.
• Day shift.
• Onsite at 399 Revolution Drive.
