• Days, 8-hour shifts

Responsibilities

• Prepare, operate, and maintain X-ray equipment.
• Work as the subject matter expert/clinical resource for neuro-endovascular cases with a complementary role in cardiovascular interventions.
• Operate and troubleshoot equipment used in the Interventional OR.
• Maintain and access X-ray equipment for routine maintenance and service needs.
• Interpret and assist physicians with pertinent patient and procedural information.
• Compile test results utilizing hospital policy and procedures.
• Ensure proper identification of patients.
• Prepare patients for procedures while maintaining patient privacy.
• Produce quality diagnostic images for interpretation through proper positioning and technique.
• Respond effectively in emergency situations.
• Communicate any observed changes in patient condition to physicians.
• Act as a patient advocate and uphold patient rights.
• Prioritize/organize work assignments and adjust priorities based on changing situations.
• Consult and communicate with other departments in a professional manner.
• Demonstrate understanding of safety, health, and morale needs of customers/co-workers.
• Function as a scrub assistant to physicians during interventional procedures.
• Prepare patients for procedures by providing instructions to obtain desired results, gain cooperation, and minimize anxiety.
• Operate medical imaging equipment properly and safely.
• Demonstrate awareness of Radiation Safety procedures.
