IPTV Technician
Miami HEAT is seeking an IPTV Technician to work at the Kaseya Center in downtown Miami. This role assists with day-to-day live event and presentation requirements, facilitating content programming and IPTV/digital signage distribution.
About the Role
The IPTV Technician programs, schedules, and maintains the arena’s vast digital signage system during HEAT games and live events. This position is the on-site contact for all IPTV/digital signage needs, operating, servicing, and maintaining all technical aspects of the Kaseya Center’s systems. The role requires a strong understanding of computer networking and proficiency with content-managing and compositing software applications to manage, schedule, and implement content across high-visibility LED and LCD displays. The technician collaborates with multiple departments to execute contractual commitments and marketing campaigns, while also assisting the Director of Broadcast Services with day-to-day operations.

- Interior Mitsubishi LED Fascia and Video Screens
- MiamiMediaMesh (exterior marquee)
- AT&T East Plaza
- 601 Restaurant
- Digital Menu Boards
- Directional Signage
- Bacardi Grand Entrance
- Bacardi Bars
- Ocho Suite Level
- Operates content management and compositing software applications and systems, including:
- TriplePlay - IPTV
- Daktronics Show Control
- Adobe Creative Suite
- RF Modulation System
- Operates IPTV/digital signage systems during HEAT games and live arena events.
- Trains and assists part-time system operators.
- Collaborates with multiple departments to execute contractual commitments, event promotions, and marketing campaigns.
- Manages, programs, and maintains data feeds for statistic displays across various systems.
- Maintains all aspects of the Digital Signage network systems, including installation, service, maintenance, and programming of associated software and hardware.
- Maintains all LED hardware/software display systems.
- Serves as the event technical contact for digital signage systems.
- Contributes to the optimization and growth of the Digital Signage systems.
- Works extended and/or irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university in Advertising, Marketing, Computer Science, Information Technology, Visual Effects/Motion Graphics, or related field; or industry equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience with digital signage platforms such as Four Winds Interactive, ANC, Daktronics, or Tripleplay preferred.
- Knowledge of the sports and entertainment industry, with awareness of trends in technology and pop culture.
Skills
- Proficiency in Mac OS X / Mac iOS and Windows OS.
- Strong understanding of computer networking.
- Working knowledge of PHP and HTML code development.
- Understanding of data streaming and connectivity.
- Familiarity with codecs and compression.
- Strong understanding of new media visual technologies and presentation standards (LED, screen resolution, troubleshooting).
- Experience publishing content through a content management system.
- Ability to operate signage systems during live events.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask effectively.
