About the Role

The IPB Client Services Associate will be responsible for interfacing with clients and prospective clients to build productive relationships and provide outstanding administrative support and service. The individual is responsible for handling client inquiries and providing resolution of issues, leveraging knowledge of bank policies, procedures and systems. The position will also handle account openings for online banking accounts, general account maintenance and transactions, providing support and back-up to IPB Private Bank Associates, as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Providing superior service to clients in a professional manner, ensuring a personalized client experience at each touch point.
  • Handle online banking account openings and assist IPB Bankers with tasks including wires and account maintenance.
  • Entering and maintaining client information on computer database.
  • Tracking and organizing client information and records for department.
  • Handling various information inquiries from clients and associates.
  • Assisting with a variety of administrative tasks including invoicing, copying, mailings, booking conference rooms.
  • Answering incoming calls in a professional manner, forwarding and screening accordingly and keeping call log.
  • Helping maintain workplace security by managing visitor logs, managing temporary access cards as needed.
  • Perform other duties as deemed necessary by supervisor.

Required Skills

  • Client service oriented with a high level of professional and personal integrity; demonstrate a positive and optimistic perspective during each client interaction.
  • Understanding of banking principles and how checking accounts and brokerage accounts work.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish. Professional email messaging skills.
  • Strong proofing and editing skills, including formatting.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proficient PC skills including email, record keeping, database activity.
  • Detail oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, organize, and execute complex assignments to completion.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral or schedule form and apply sound judgment.
  • Ability to retain knowledge of department functions, systems and policies.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of 3 years in client services role in financial services.
  • Must be fluent in English and Spanish.
  • Portuguese and Hebrew are a plus preferred.
