About the role

We are seeking an Infection Preventionist (IP RN)/Staff Development Coordinator (SDC RN) to join our team. This position contributes to a family culture focused on person-centered care, excellent customer service, and dedication to each individual's unique talents.

Responsibilities

• Develop, direct, and monitor the facility's infection prevention and control program
• Ensure the facility is in compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines
• Make rounds of nursing units and review environmental sanitation procedures
• Analyze infectious disease lab reports and consult with the Director of Nursing
• Prepare summaries of resident/staff infections, corrective actions, and results for submission
• Meet with staff, residents, and family members to explain precautions and ensure proper hand-hygiene techniques are followed

Requirements

• Unencumbered RN license in the state
• Knowledgeable of nursing practices, procedures, terminology, laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to long-term care

Nice to have

• Infection control experience
• Experience in Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) environment
• Experience with PointClickCare

Pay

Salary Range: $115,000 - $130,000 per year. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors including location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
