Salary Range: $87,360 per year
About the role
As an Infection Preventionist (IP LPN LVN), you will develop, direct, and monitor the facility's infection prevention and control program and ensure compliance. You will make rounds of nursing units, review environmental sanitation procedures, and analyze infectious disease lab reports in consultation with the Director of Nursing. You will prepare summaries of all resident/staff infections, corrective actions taken, and results for submission. Additionally, you will meet with staff, residents, and family members to explain precautions and ensure appropriate hand-hygiene techniques are followed.
Requirements
- Unencumbered LVN/LPN license in the state
- Knowledgeable of nursing practices, procedures, terminology, laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to long-term care
Preferred Qualifications
- Infection control experience
- Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) environment
- Experience with PointClickCare
