IP Litigation Associate
About the role
The firm is seeking an experienced Intellectual Property Litigation Associate to join its litigation practice in Connecticut, New York, or Boston offices. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity with a hybrid schedule (three days per week in the office).
Responsibilities
- Represent clients in complex patent and IP litigation matters in federal courts and other forums
- Manage substantive aspects of cases, including fact and expert discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation
- Draft and argue motions, including dispositive and discovery-related motions
- Work with technical experts and develop technical case theories in coordination with clients
- Analyze patents, prior art, infringement and invalidity contentions, and related technical materials
- Prepare witnesses for deposition and trial
- Contribute to case strategy, risk assessment, and client communications
- Collaborate closely with partners and litigation teams across offices
Requirements
- Significant intellectual property litigation experience at a leading law firm
- Demonstrated focus on patent litigation, including experience handling substantive discovery and motion practice
- Technical background in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Physics preferred
- Strong academic credentials
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Able to manage complex technical issues and translate them into persuasive legal arguments
- Collaborative, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a hybrid, team-based environment

Pay
Base salary will vary by office location and is determined by relevant skills, training, experience, and other job-related factors. The target base salary range for this position in New York is $200,000 – $260,000. Compensation for Connecticut and Boston will be commensurate with market and experience.
