IOT Solutions Architect -

About the role

A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or any other related field with work experience is required. An IoT architect should stay updated on IoT businesses, data governance, and good data practices to ensure better security and performance in an evolving technological landscape. Technical skills are diverse, including proficiency in programming, data management, and various programming languages and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance to resolve business problems through collaboration with business leaders.
• Design and implement IoT solutions.
• Work with business leaders to address business challenges.
• Ensure compliance with data governance and security best practices.

Qualifications

• 12 years of experience as a professional software engineer, with 8 years in Cloud PaaS/SaaS technologies.
• 10+ years of experience as an IoT Architect and a proven track record of designing and implementing IoT solutions.
• Minimum 10+ years of proficiency in programming languages such as .NET, Python, Java, Node.js, GO.
• Hands-on experience with IoT-related tools and technologies, particularly Azure (IoT Central, IoT Hub, Azure Sphere, IoT Edge, Digital Twin, Stream Analytics, Data Lake and Timeseries).
• Experience in specific IoT/embedded/M2M industries.
• Hands-on experience interfacing to OPCUA and MODBUS servers using Python or Java.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, AWS RDS, AWS Dynamo DB, AWS S3, Document DB, MongoDB).
• Proficiency in clean code, architecture, and design of edge applications and services.
• Experience in designing and developing applications based on cloud native and microservices principles, with hands-on experience in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines as part of DevOps, including familiarity with DevOps tools such as Atlassian JIRA, Confluence, or Azure DevOps, and Git.
• Experience with PowerShell and Linux Shell Scripting is appreciated.
