About the role

We are looking for an innovative and highly skilled IoT Engineer with a specific focus on creating ISO images for our dialysis machines. In this role, you will develop and customize Lubuntu-based ISO images to run on dialysis machine hardware, ensuring efficient, secure, and regulatory-compliant operation. You will collaborate closely with hardware and software engineers to integrate IoT capabilities and optimize the operating environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and customize Lubuntu-based ISO images for dialysis machine hardware, integrating all necessary software, configurations, and drivers.
  • Automate the creation, testing, and updating of ISO images for deployment across a fleet of dialysis machines.
  • Work with hardware teams to ensure proper integration of IoT sensors and modules within the ISO image.
  • Optimize boot times, resource utilization, and overall system stability for devices.
  • Develop and integrate IoT capabilities into dialysis machines to enable real-time data gathering and transmission.
  • Configure embedded Linux systems to enable communication between dialysis machines and central monitoring systems.
  • Ensure devices are securely connected and comply with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Maintain, configure, and troubleshoot images running on dialysis machines.
  • Monitor system health, diagnose issues, and apply patches/updates for optimal performance and security.
  • Create and maintain automation scripts for building, testing, and deploying ISO images.
  • Automate the integration of diagnostic tools and software updates into ISO images for scalability.
  • Ensure ISO images comply with regulatory standards and maintain detailed documentation for ISO creation, IoT integration, and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with regulatory and quality assurance teams to meet medical device regulations.
  • Work with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers and medical device specialists, to ensure smooth system integration.
  • Provide technical support and guidance on ISO creation and IoT integration to internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in training team members on the use and maintenance of IoT-enabled dialysis systems.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in IoT development, particularly with embedded Linux systems and IoT device integration.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO creation and customization, with experience in Linux system administration, preferably Ubuntu.
  • Hands-on experience with embedded systems, hardware-software integration, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong scripting skills for automation and customization tasks.
  • Knowledge of networking protocols and security principles for IoT-enabled medical devices (e.g., data encryption, secure communications).
  • Experience with diagnostic tools and monitoring systems for remote device management.
  • Experience creating CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins.
  • Experience with Ubuntu live CD customization.
  • Experience with MariaDB, Perl, and Python.
