IOS DEVELOPER - INTERNSHIP

About the role
Digital Factory is searching for an iOS Developer intern to work on software enhancements and mobile applications for internal and external client stakeholders. The intern will collaborate with the CTO/Solution Architect and project stakeholders to understand requirements, architect solutions, and drive them through the software development lifecycle (SDLC). This is an unpaid internship offering opportunities to gain real-world experience and career development.
Responsibilities
- Take part in the design, development, and maintenance of an advanced mobile geolocation library
- Recommend technology, process, tool, and framework improvements to efficiently deliver software
- Implement BLE input and NFC input to deliver hyper-relevant information to users
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience
- At least 2 years of programming experience in Objective-C and iOS Development
- Substantial development experience with Swift and Xcode
- Two years of GIS experience
- Attained or currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Applied work experience and/or education directly related to the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed above
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with a start-up
- Demonstrable understanding of common challenges with mobile/embedded devices, including power management, resource optimization, and wireless network reliability
- Bluetooth and NFC application development experience
