IOP Therapist (LMHC or LCSW)

About the role

Fort Lauderdale Behavioral Health Center is a 182-bed, acute care psychiatric hospital located in the beautiful Oakland Park neighborhood of Fort Lauderdale, FL. FLBHC features individual units for children, adolescents, adults, and seniors, and offers inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. On average, over 10,000 patients receive care from our compassionate health care team each year.

Responsibilities

• Works with individuals to help them overcome psychological/emotional issues as well as substance abuse issues.
• Demonstrates the ability to perform group, individual and family therapy.
• Performs psychosocial assessment and formulate treatment plans based on individuals' needs.
• Recognizes crisis situations and provides interventions.
• Works collaboratively with peers, administrators, physicians, and allied staff.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree from an accredited school in Social Work, or Mental Health Counseling.
• LMHC or LCSW in Florida required.
• One (1) year of experience working in a Behavioral Health Center or psychiatric counseling setting with adults and/or children.
