IONM Technologist II - Neurodiagnostic Orange - FT Days
About the role
Incumbent provides expertise required to monitor Intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring (IONM) cases in the operating room which may include but not limited to; spinal, vascular, brachial plexus and cranial surgeries. May require but not limited to; Somatosensory evoked potentials, Transcranial motor evoked potentials, Auditory evoked potential, Functional cortical mapping, Cranial nerve electromyography, Lateral spread, Limb Electromyography and D-waves.
Responsibilities
- Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
- Must possess current CNIM Certificate from ABRET
- Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
- Minimum three (3) years experience as an IONM Tech
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Current BLS certification required by time of hire
- Advanced knowledge of EP and IOM acquisition and artifact detection/elimination
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System

Skills
- Previous experience working in the UC Irvine Medical Center operating room
- Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
- IOM experience with Craniotomy cases
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, or related field
