Involvement Coordinator Programming and
Academic Staff – Regular, full-time position within the Markee Pioneer Student Center at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.
About the role
The Involvement Coordinator – Programming and Leadership coordinates and supports key programs and initiatives, including Student Senate advising, Markee departmental marketing, and Markee and university-wide programming. This role serves as a liaison between student organizations, campus departments, and other university partners while promoting compliance with university policies, procedures, and risk management protocols. The position utilizes technology resources, social media platforms, and software applications to enhance student engagement and program operations and supports student participation in major policy and decision-making processes in accordance with Chapter 36.09(5) of the Wisconsin State Statutes.
Responsibilities
- Advise and supervise all Student Senate committees and the Student Senate Executive Board.
- Supervise all Student Senate programs and act as a liaison between the university and Student Senate.
- Advise Student Senate on implementing policies and procedures, including developing and monitoring budgets and expenditures.
- Provide guidance on best practices for connecting student involvement experiences with learning outcomes.
- Assist with Design Services supervision and management for Markee departmental marketing.
- Develop and implement social media strategies and initiatives to ensure compliance with accessibility legal regulations.
- Coordinate Markee departmental and university-wide programming/training, including Campus Programming and Relations events and initiatives.
- Coordinate Markee departmental "passive programming" initiatives.
Qualifications
This is a full-time, 12-month, benefit and paid leave eligible position.
Pay
$48,000 per year.
