About the role
The Investment Solutions Consultant (ISC) is a fully remote role responsible for achieving and exceeding investment sales objectives within designated territories. The position supports offices in California and Nevada, focusing on San Francisco, East Bay, Northern CA, and Reno.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with agents to develop and maintain strong business relationships
- Develop and maintain a strong command of New York Life’s investment products (annuities/mutual funds) and sales processes
- Provide case development and design support
- Introduce new product enhancements to field management and agents
- Deliver sales presentations to both agents and clients
- Support sales efforts through individual face-to-face meetings and large group sessions
- Proactively work with management to address client needs and market trends
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree preferred and/or equivalent experience
- Motivated and energetic individual with the ability to drive objectives relatively autonomously
- Approximately 5 years of wholesaling experience in annuity/investment products
- Broad and comprehensive knowledge of the annuity business, an understanding of the sales process, and the dynamics of selling annuity/mutual fund products
- Industry recognized designations such as RICP, CHFC, CFP are highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills are essential
- Ability to build and maintain strong business relationships
- Life license, Series 6 or Series 7 and Series 63 registrations
- Understanding of Advanced Markets, a plus
- Frequent travel is required, potentially up to 100% of the time
Qualifications
- Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, or related field
- At least 5 years of experience in wholesaling annuities or investment products
- Knowledgeable in New York Life’s investment products and sales processes
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively
Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective presentation and negotiation skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with CRM systems

Pay
Salary Range: Ongoing
Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors including experience, skills, qualifications, and job location.
Schedule
This is a full-time position with potential for remote work. Frequent travel may be required, up to 100% of the time.
