Responsibilities
Assess investment risks across financial, operational, market, and structural dimensions
Perform downside, sensitivity, and scenario analyses on new and existing investments
Evaluate leverage, liquidity, covenant structures, and capital stack risk
Support due diligence across financial, commercial, operational, legal, and regulatory workstreams
Identify key risk factors, red flags, and mitigation strategies during underwriting
Analyze company performance, KPIs, customer concentration, and unit economics through a risk lens
Monitor portfolio company performance against underwriting assumptions and covenants
Track exposure to sector, macroeconomic, and concentration risks
Support early-warning indicators and escalation processes for underperforming assets
Prepare risk sections for investment memos and committee materials
Summarize downside cases, key sensitivities, and potential loss scenarios
Present clear, data-backed perspectives on risks, controls, and mitigation strategies
Support risk evaluation for add-on acquisitions, refinancings, and recapitalizations
Aid in exit risk analysis and timing considerations
Contribute to post-investment reviews and lessons-learned analyses
Requirements
Education & Technical Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
- Strong Excel and financial modeling skills; experience with sensitivity and scenario analysis preferred
- Solid understanding of accounting, corporate finance, leverage, and valuation principles
Experience (Formal or Informal):
- Prior internships or experience in investment banking, private equity, risk advisory, consulting, or corporate finance is beneficial
- Exposure to credit analysis, downside modeling, or risk assessment is a plus
