Investment Research Assistant
About the role
The Investment Research Assistant role is a compelling opportunity for a detail-oriented professional interested in asset management research, investment products, and operational support. This hybrid position supports research materials, performance reporting, internal coordination, and communication with overseas teams, contributing to the smooth execution of investment research activities.
Responsibilities
- Support research and analysis on the asset management industry, asset managers, and investment products, utilizing external databases
- Aid in the preparation of performance reports, strategy presentations, and industry materials, including data visualization and content drafting
- Provide ad-hoc support to team members and senior management, including urgent requests and coordination of internal and external communications
- Maintain and update internal databases related to asset management research
- Cook up and coordinate meetings with investment managers and external parties, including scheduling, logistics, in-meeting support, and meeting documentation
- Prepare internal approval documents, arrange business travel, and process expense reimbursements
- Liaise with overseas teams based in Japan on relevant activities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; finance, economics, business, or accounting preferred
- Business-level proficiency in both Japanese and English, written and verbal
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to support material preparation and respond to internal and external requests
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
- Strong compliance awareness and understanding of operational risks and relevant regulations
- Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement with 2 days per week in the office
