USAA seeks to be the #1 choice for the military community and their families. This opportunity is within the Investment Operations Analyst (Intermediate) role, supporting high-quality investment research for new securities.
Responsibilities
- Valuing routine new securities and completing securities transactions data entry
- Soliciting guidance for more complex security setups
- Maintaining security records within order management, accounting, and data warehouse systems
- Conducting initial post-trade compliance testing
- Acquiring and applying maturing knowledge of the investment business, products, and processes
- Participating in the development and implementation of team initiatives as a team resource
- Resolving issues and identifying appropriate issues for escalation
- Performing more remedial tasks such as doing simple quality checks or staging work for analysis
- Ensuring risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree; OR 4 years of relevant education and/or experience
- 2 years of experience in investment operations or middle office functions or financial services industry
- Foundational level of experience in the investment management industry
- Knowledge of investment control testing or audits
- Experience with Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word and Outlook
Qualifications
- US military experience through military service or a military spouse/domestic partner
- Demonstrated ability to understand financial concepts, with a specific emphasis on bond pricing and general bond mathematics
- Familiarity with data and automation tools such as SQL, Python, VBA, and Power BI
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Experience assisting with control testing and audits and identifying opportunities for process improvement
Skills
- Knowledge of investment control testing or audits
- Experience with Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word and Outlook
- Familiarity with data and automation tools such as SQL, Python, VBA, and Power BI

Pay
The salary range for this position is: $63,590 - $121,530.
