Investment Manager – Real Estate

Duties and responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with leading real estate operators, fund managers, and third-party service providers across target markets.
• Mentor and develop investment colleagues while contributing to the strategic direction of NBIM's real estate investment platform.
• Play a leading role in investment origination, due diligence, and execution for private and public real estate opportunities, with transaction ownership from sourcing through to closing.
• Present investment recommendations to senior management within the Real Estate group, preparing comprehensive investment memoranda and leading deal discussions.
• Help lead asset management relationships for existing investments, serving as a primary point of contact for partners, managers, and operators while driving value-creation initiatives.

Qualifications

• University degree with high academic credentials; advanced degree (MBA, MSc Real Estate, CFA) preferred.
• 8–12 years of relevant real estate investment experience from leading institutional investors, real estate private equity firms, real estate investment banks, or top-tier fund managers, with demonstrated deal leadership.
• Proven ability to structure complex transactions, fund investments, and investments into operating companies.
• Track record of leveraging technology and AI tools to enhance investment decision-making and operational efficiency.
• Sophisticated financial modelling and analytical capabilities, with expert proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Argus Enterprise.
