About the role
The Investment Consultant (IC) role at Schwab provides the foundational experience needed to advance towards becoming a Financial Consultant (FC). This role offers exposure to the financial services industry and the opportunity to learn from experienced FCs.
Responsibilities
- Proactively engage in outbound calls to existing Schwab clients to identify and pursue business opportunities.
- Conduct needs-based analysis to understand client requirements and recommend appropriate products and solutions.
- Observe and learn from experienced Financial Consultants (FCs) to enhance your skills and delivery of services.
- Mentor and collaborate with FCs to improve your ability to provide exceptional client service and value.
Requirements
- A valid and active Series 7 license (may be obtained under a condition of employment).
- A valid and active Series 66 (63/65) license (may be obtained under a condition of employment).
- A valid and active Life and Health Insurance license (may be obtained under a condition of employment).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the financial services industry.
- Leverage of business development skills.
- Knowledge of brokerage/banking products and services.
- Strong ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
