About the role
The Investment Consultant (IC) role provides the exposure and experience required to advance in financial consulting. You'll learn what it takes to build a book of business through proactive, outbound calls to existing Schwab clients, uncovering opportunities through needs-based analysis and positioning appropriate products and solutions. You'll observe our skilled Financial Consultants (FCs) and learn how to deliver unparalleled value and service through collaboration and mentoring.
Responsibilities
- Learn and build a book of business through proactive, outbound calls to existing Schwab clients
- Uncover opportunities through needs-based analysis and position appropriate products and solutions
- Observe and learn from experienced Financial Consultants (FCs)
- Deliver unparalleled value and service through collaboration and mentoring
Requirements
- A valid and active Series 7 license (may be obtained under a condition of employment)
- A valid and active Series 66 (63/65) license (may be obtained under a condition of employment)
- A valid and active Life and Health Insurance license (may be obtained under a condition of employment)
- 2 years of experience in the financial services industry (preferred)
- Ability to leverage Business development experience
- Passion for gaining knowledge of brokerage/banking products and services
- Openness to build strong client relationships
Qualifications
- A valid and active Series 7 license is required (license may be obtained under a condition of employment through Branch Network Licensing Program)
- A valid and active Series 66 (63/65) license required (license(s) may be obtained under a condition of employment)
- A valid and active Life and Health Insurance license is required (may be obtained under a condition of employment)
