About the role

The Investment Consultant (IC) role provides the exposure and experience required to advance in financial consulting. You'll learn what it takes to build a book of business through proactive, outbound calls to existing Schwab clients, uncovering opportunities through needs-based analysis and positioning appropriate products and solutions. You'll observe our skilled Financial Consultants (FCs) and learn how to deliver unparalleled value and service through collaboration and mentoring.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and build a book of business through proactive, outbound calls to existing Schwab clients
  • Uncover opportunities through needs-based analysis and position appropriate products and solutions
  • Observe and learn from experienced Financial Consultants (FCs)
  • Deliver unparalleled value and service through collaboration and mentoring

Requirements

  • A valid and active Series 7 license (may be obtained under a condition of employment)
  • A valid and active Series 66 (63/65) license (may be obtained under a condition of employment)
  • A valid and active Life and Health Insurance license (may be obtained under a condition of employment)
  • 2 years of experience in the financial services industry (preferred)
  • Ability to leverage Business development experience
  • Passion for gaining knowledge of brokerage/banking products and services
  • Openness to build strong client relationships

Qualifications

  • A valid and active Series 7 license is required (license may be obtained under a condition of employment through Branch Network Licensing Program)
  • A valid and active Series 66 (63/65) license required (license(s) may be obtained under a condition of employment)
  • A valid and active Life and Health Insurance license is required (may be obtained under a condition of employment)
