Investment Banking VP

About the role

The Investment Banking VP will be responsible for leading the execution of M&A, capital raising, and strategic advisory engagements from initial pitch through transaction close. They will serve as the primary day-to-day contact for corporate, private equity, and founder-owned clients, managing transaction processes, coordinating and mentoring Associates and Analysts, and driving multiple live transactions simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Leading the execution of M&A, capital raising, and strategic advisory engagements from initial pitch through transaction close.
  • Serving as the primary day-to-day contact for corporate, private equity, and founder-owned clients, developing and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Managing transaction processes, including due diligence, financial analysis, valuation, marketing materials, management presentations, and negotiation support.
  • Overseeing the preparation and review of financial models, valuation analyses, client presentations, confidential information memoranda, and other transaction-related materials.
  • Coordinating and mentor Associates and Analysts, providing guidance on transaction execution, financial analysis, and professional development.
  • Working closely with Managing Directors and senior bankers on business development initiatives, client pitches, and relationship management efforts.
  • Developing industry expertise and staying informed on market trends, transaction activity, and competitive dynamics across targeted sectors.
  • Collaborating with legal, accounting, and other external advisors to ensure successful transaction execution.
  • Identifying new business opportunities and contributing to expanding existing client relationships.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of investment banking, corporate finance, or transaction advisory experience.
  • Demonstrated experience executing M&A and/or capital markets transactions.
  • Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to manage client relationships and lead transaction teams.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and project management capabilities.
  • Track record of mentoring junior professionals and thriving in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

  • Must have a bachelor's degree.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
