About the role

The Investment Banking Technology team at Nomura is seeking a Vice President to join their dynamic team. This role combines deep sector expertise with technology-driven solutions, focusing on execution and client coverage including valuation, financial analysis, strategic analysis, due diligence, deal financing, and process management.

Responsibilities

  • A combination of execution and client coverage including; valuation, financial analysis, strategic analysis, due diligence, deal financing and process management
  • Business and industry research and analysis
  • Preparation of transaction marketing materials and high-quality client deliverables
  • Development, training, and mentoring of junior bankers assigned to projects

Requirements

  • Outstanding academic qualifications: MBA or other relevant graduate degree desirable, but not required
  • A minimum of 6-10 years of total investment banking experience
  • Demonstrated track record within the Technology sector is a requirement for this role; specific Software experience is strongly preferred
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the corporate banking business and its related products, pertinent regulations and lending and credit approval processes
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Series 79 and 63

Benefits

Pay

The base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, corporate and functional title and duties, job-related knowledge and advanced degrees, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave).

Schedule

If hired in the U.S., the employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
