The New York-based Investment Banking group works across industry sectors with a primary focus on M&A transactions. The team is directly involved in the design, origination, structuring, and execution of mergers and acquisitions, including buy-side, sell-side, and other strategic advisory mandates for both existing and prospective clients.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct extensive quantitative economic, industry, and company research and analysis
  • Draft and prepare pitch books with detailed industry materials
  • Lead financial modeling, valuation, and comparable/relative value analyses, including DCF, comparable companies, precedent transactions, LBO, and merger combination models
  • Conduct and evaluate a broad range of corporate finance alternatives and due diligence for buy-side, sell-side, and other strategic advisory mandates
  • Facilitate idea generation and solutions development across groups firmwide
  • Develop and prepare client presentations and materials with a focus on quality, accuracy, and timeliness
  • Assist in the evaluation, preparation, due diligence, and execution of M&A transactions
  • Assist in the development and continued cultivation of client relationships

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 6 years of investment banking, corporate finance, and M&A experience with a top-tier investment bank, OR an MBA concentrating in Finance with current Vice President (or equivalent) standing at a top-tier investment bank
  • Strong knowledge of corporate finance, securities, financial markets, and risk & pricing analysis
  • M&A investment banking experience a strong plus
  • Aptitude to synthesize large amounts of information and develop innovative ideas and solutions
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
  • Maturity and good judgment in handling confidential and sensitive information
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Creativity and intellectual curiosity
  • Ability to work independently while remaining an effective team contributor
  • Proficiency with FactSet, CapitalIQ, Bloomberg, and Microsoft Office
  • Series 79 & 63 required

Pay

  • Base salary range: $250K–$275K, based on relevant skills, training, experience, and education
  • Discretionary performance-based bonus
