Investment Banking - Strategic Investment Group - Analyst

About the role

As an Analyst in the Strategic Investment Group within the Investment Banking Division, you will be a key player in executing the firm's business. You will work alongside expert professionals at a leading global investment bank, gaining training, hands-on learning opportunities, continuous mentoring, and development. This role offers the chance to contribute to high-profile transactions, drive growth, and build J.P. Morgan's franchise and reputation in the marketplace. You will develop strong functional skills in investment banking and grow into a senior client executive capable of generating and executing your own transactions.

Responsibilities

• Execute transactions: support due diligence, document preparation, negotiation, and liaise with clients and other advisers (accounting, legal, etc.).
• Collaborate with J.P. Morgan product and sector teams.
• Build and use complex financial models, complete valuation and analytical exercises.
• Draft presentation materials, management presentations, board materials, memorandums, and other documents for M&A and capital markets transactions or strategic client dialogue.
• Stay abreast of key market developments and establish knowledge of the target client base and relevant market dynamics.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of work experience in an investment banking front office or related role.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong accounting, finance, quantitative, and business writing skills.
• Understanding of the transaction cycle and execution-oriented mindset.
• Impeccable communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with senior professionals, clients, and key stakeholders.
• Self-directed, highly motivated, and able to work independently.
