Investment Banking - Media & Communications - Associate

About the role

As an Associate in our M&C Investment Banking group, you will be a key player in our business strategy and execution. You will participate in the full cycle of transactional execution including preparing marketing pitches, reviewing and formulating financial analysis, preparing and presenting internal committee memoranda and client presentations. You will play a leadership role in implementing the execution function, working with analysts and associates, and assisting senior bankers. You will develop strong functional skills in major areas of investment banking and demonstrate the ability to become a senior officer capable of generating and executing your own transactions. You will join the global Associate class in an Industry, Country Coverage or Product Team, working with a broader team of over 100 Analysts and Associates in the region, with opportunities to be involved in real‑time transactions that may include frequent travel.

Responsibilities

• Develop content for strategic meetings with clients regarding M&A or capital market transactions.
• Interact daily with senior team members and client management teams to execute transactions and discuss strategic alternatives.
• Define, guide, and review detailed valuation analysis, including DCF, trading comparables, transaction comparables, and LBO analyses.
• Define, guide, and review detailed combination and other financial analyses in the context of M&A transactions or pitch situations.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and supervision to Associates and Analysts.
• Participate in graduate recruiting.

Requirements

• Prior work experience in an investment banking front‑office role.
• A well‑rounded academic background from a top‑tier educational institution.
• Strong financial modelling skills.
• Understanding of the transaction cycle and execution‑oriented mindset.
• Impeccable communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with senior professionals, clients, and key stakeholders.
• Self‑directed, highly motivated, and able to work independently.

Pay

Competitive total rewards package including base salary determined based on role, experience, skill set, and location. Eligible roles may receive commission‑based pay and/or discretionary incentive compensation, paid in cash and/or forfeitable equity, awarded in recognition of individual achievements and contributions.
