Key Responsibilities
- Execute M&A, equity offerings, debt financings, and strategic advisory assignments for FinTech clients.
- Build and maintain complex financial models, including DCF, comparable company analysis, precedent transactions, merger models, and LBO analyses.
- Prepare client presentations, transaction materials, board presentations, and marketing documents.
- Conduct industry research and company analysis across the FinTech and broader financial services sectors.
- Coordinate due diligence processes and manage transaction execution workstreams.
- Draft offering memoranda, confidential information presentations, management presentations, and investor materials.
- Analyze business models, growth strategies, financial performance, and valuation metrics for FinTech companies.
- Work directly with senior bankers, executives, private equity sponsors, and strategic acquirers throughout transaction processes.
- Assist in developing client relationships and supporting business development initiatives.
- Mentor and oversee Analysts while ensuring high-quality deliverables.
Qualifications
- 3-6 years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, transaction advisory, private equity, or a related financial services role.
- Prior investment banking experience at the Analyst or Associate level required.
- Experience within FIG, Technology, FinTech, Software, Payments, or Financial Services sectors preferred.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, valuation methodologies, and corporate finance concepts.
- Advanced financial modeling and analytical capabilities.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Strong project management and organizational abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple live transactions and deadlines simultaneously.
- Bachelor's degree with a strong academic record.
Preferred Experience
- Experience advising banks, payments companies, software providers, specialty finance businesses, or other financial technology firms.
- Knowledge of industry-specific operating metrics such as payment volume, take rates, net revenue retention, recurring revenue, loan portfolio performance, transaction growth, and customer acquisition metrics.
- Exposure to M&A, IPOs, private placements, debt financings, or sponsor-backed transactions.
- Strong understanding of current trends impacting the financial technology ecosystem.
