Investment Banking and Capital Markets – Banker – Biopharma Healthcare VP

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and review the analytical work of junior bankers to move marketing and execution processes forward with maximum impact.
• Coordinate internally across products and with external parties on transactions as necessary.
• Lead diligence processes and identify/manage risks related to each deal.
• Act as a primary point of contact for clients.
• Issue final reports of client interactions and discussions to senior management and maintain ongoing communication.
• Work with senior-level management while maintaining confidentiality.
• Demonstrate leadership skills with the capacity to take initiative and assume responsibility.
• Create a positive, effective work environment conducive to open communications, initiative-taking, and collaborative problem-solving.

Requirements

• Established experience providing quantitative and analytical support for M&A and capital markets transactions (IPOs, equity follow-ons, investment grade and leveraged finance debt offerings), preferably in the Life Sciences space (pharma, biotech, spec pharma).
• Experience supporting senior bankers across all stages of a transaction lifecycle, including pitching, preparing marketing materials, financial models, and deal execution.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate concepts and ideas concisely and defend their validity.
• Bachelor’s degree with a focus in finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, engineering, or life sciences (advanced degree preferred).
• Series 79, 63 licensing preferred.

Pay

The salary range for this position in New York City is $275,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location, and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or other types of remuneration.

It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the office at One Columbus Circle, New York, NY.
