Client: Our client is a differentiated venture investment platform focused on identifying and scaling breakthrough technologies and emerging companies. The firm combines venture investing, company building, and operational support with a highly entrepreneurial approach to investing. Opportunity: Our client is seeking an Investment Associate to join its investment team in the San Francisco Bay Area. The role provides exposure across venture investing, financial analysis, company building, and portfolio support. The ideal candidate will have a strong financial foundation from investment banking, M&A, or consulting and an interest in technology and emerging companies. Responsibilities: Conduct research on markets, technologies, competitors, and industry trendsBuild financial models, valuation analyses, and investment materialsSupport investment diligence and evaluation of potential investmentsAssist with company formation and readiness initiativesPrepare investment memos, meeting pre-reads, and other written materialsSupport portfolio companies with financial and operational projectsAssist senior team members with investment analysis and meeting preparationSupport LP-facing activities and fundraising processesIdentify opportunities to leverage AI and data tools to improve research and analysis Qualifications: 2–5 years of experience in investment banking, M&A, consulting, or a similar analytical roleStrong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skillsExperience in a venture-backed startup or operating environment is a plusStrong Excel and financial analysis skillsExceptional written communication and attention to detailAbility to work effectively with incomplete information and ambiguityIntellectual curiosity and genuine interest in AI, emerging technologies, and company buildingStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple workstreamsCollaborative, low-ego, and willing to roll up their sleevesStrong work ethic and willingness to operate in a demanding environmentFluency with modern AI tools and interest in AI-native workflowsBased in or willing to relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area
