Accountable for providing timely, actionable, and accurate detailed investment analysis and Buy/Hold/Sell recommendations within the assigned coverage universe to assist investment teams in building focused, high-performing, and well-structured portfolios.

About the role

Responsible for determining and compiling sources of information to conduct independent analysis and support senior investment staff. Functions are performed in the context of client-defined investment strategies, contributing to the strategy’s performance and the company’s ability to raise assets. The role includes fundamental analysis of individual companies, interpreting market data, trends, and economic forecasts, with a focus on various Industrials sectors within the corporate credit universe.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze individual companies, interpret market and industry trends, and examine specified market sector activity to provide information and analysis required in the investment decision-making process.
  • Cover an industry sector, which may include subsectors within the Industrials sector.
  • Support more than one investment strategy team.
  • Meet with company management and sell-side analysts to determine the short and long-term outlook of a company.
  • Provide verbal and written reviews of company meetings to other analysts and portfolio managers.
  • Develop and cultivate relationships with company management and the sell-side to broaden knowledge of assigned companies and industries.
  • Complete fundamental analysis on specific companies and create/update investment models with issuer information, financial statement numbers, and market trend data.
  • Make and articulate buy, sell, and hold recommendations with senior investment staff.
  • Conduct credit analysis and/or analysis of classes of securities, market trends, yield and duration relationships, and pricing trends between different fixed-income sectors.
  • Construct financial models incorporating investment guidelines and parameters to review relevant security selections.
  • Develop and maintain investment theses and assemble data points to make specific security recommendations to portfolio management team(s).

  • Manage a large amount of information on numerous companies across various industries.
  • Conduct research globally in different geographical areas and multiple time zones.
  • Navigate competing priorities, demanding time pressures, and the need for strict attention to detail.
  • Make decisions in a swiftly changing and time-sensitive environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree and/or CFA designation preferred.
  • Typically has 2+ years of experience in asset management (e.g., operations, product) with 0-3+ years of dedicated investment analysis experience.
  • Superior organizational and analytic skills to complete detailed fundamental analysis.
  • Ability to construct investment models to identify and track value-added securities.
  • Strong team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills to deliver reviews and recommendations.
  • Ability to articulate highly technical information with conviction.
  • Strong sense of judgment and self-discipline to evaluate multiple opportunities and make appropriate investment decisions.
  • Strong understanding of business and economics to research target companies and determine potentially profitable investments.
  • Ability to work well with multiple levels of internal and external contacts.
  • Familiarity and experience with AI tools is preferred but not required.

Pay

Salary range is expected to be between $78,000.00 USD - $140,500.00 USD. Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography, and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
