About the Role
As an Investment Advisor, you will serve as the advisor and lead planner for high-net-worth individuals and families, delivering comprehensive, goals-based financial planning and ongoing wealth management.
Responsibilities
- Develop, present, and maintain customized financial plans that address the full picture of each client's financial life, including retirement and cash flow planning, investment strategy and asset allocation, tax-efficient planning in coordination with our CPA affiliate, estate, trust, and wealth transfer considerations, charitable planning, risk management and insurance, and education funding and other long-term goals
- Conduct client meetings (in-person, virtual, and phone) across the full relationship lifecycle, from discovery and plan design to implementation and periodic reviews
- Guide clients through key life and wealth events, such as retirement, business transitions, inheritance, and major liquidity decisions, with tailored, disciplined advice
- Coordinate with the firm's investment team, CPA partners, and outside professionals (attorneys, insurance specialists) to deliver a fully integrated planning experience
- Deepen and expand existing client relationships while cultivating referrals and new business opportunities that support the firm's long-term growth
- Serve as a trusted, client-facing representative of Lutz Financial, reinforcing our commitment to fiduciary excellence and exceptional client service
- Assist operations and administrative teams as needed
Qualifications
- 5+ years of comprehensive financial planning or wealth management experience, preferably serving high-net-worth individuals and families
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business
- CFP® designation preferred
- Strong command of financial planning strategy across investments, retirement and cash flow, tax, estate and wealth transfer, and risk management
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex topics in a clear and relatable way
- Proven ability to build, deepen, and retain long-term client relationships and manage a book of business
- Highly organized, adaptable, and comfortable managing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Tech-savvy, proactive, and detail-oriented with strong analytical skills, including proficiency with financial planning and portfolio software
- Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to collaboration and client service
