Investment Accountant (Max $44/hr W2)

Responsibilities

• Prepare or review monthly, quarterly and year-end financial close activities for carried interest compensation plans including mark-to-market revenue and expense, fund distributions and payments to participants
• Perform monthly reconciliations of balance sheet and P&L accounts
• Prepare or review monthly and quarterly investment and compensation reporting schedules
• Liaise with various internal and external stakeholders including Human Resources, Investment Management Controllers, Legal Entity Controllers, Financial and Regulatory Reporting, Tax and Morgan Stanley's fund and plan administrators
• Maintain and update strong control environment/audit documentation
• Afford assistance with projects and Ad Hoc requests

Requirements

• BS/BA in Accounting, Finance or Business
• CPA candidate preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting/finance experience, compensation/carried interest investment accounting a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel
