Responsibilities
- Conduct investigations of complaints alleging violations of Virginia's labor laws, including the Virginia Minimum Wage Act, prevailing wage statutes, and worker misclassification statutes.
- Prepare draft investigative reports analyzing whether the facts of the investigation support filing a lawsuit.
- Effectively gather and analyze payroll and employment records.
- Interview complainants, witnesses, and respondents.
- Compute back wages and damages.
- Facilitate mediation efforts between the parties.
- Maintain and update case statuses and progress in WPU's case management system.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in investigating violations of labor laws.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required.
Pay
$46,000 – $86,000
