Responsibilities
May Include, But Are Not Limited To:
- Conduct investigations of highly complex time-consuming and sensitive criminal and non-criminal investigations
- Interview suspects and witnesses
- Secure and serve warrants and summonses
- Conduct surveillance and make arrests
- Testify in court proceedings
Requirements
- Possess and maintain a Peace Officer Professional Standards (POPS) law enforcement officer certification through the Kentucky Law Enforcement Council
- Must have four years experience in the field of investigative law enforcement or a related field of investigation
- Must be 21 years of age
- Must possess a valid driver's license prior to employment in this job classification
- Must maintain any required licensure(s), certification(s) or other credentials for the length of employment in this job classification
Qualifications
- Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree
- Must have four years experience in the field of investigative law enforcement or a related field of investigation
Skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to produce quality written reports
- Ability to assimilate large volumes of information in order to successfully investigate complicated and multifaceted white-collar cases
