About the role
The Alexander City Housing Authority (ACHA) is seeking an Investigator to enforce laws and regulations in public housing communities, establish security and crime prevention programs, and enforce laws and regulations in Tallapoosa and Coosa Counties.
Responsibilities
- Enforce laws and regulations in public housing communities
- Establish and implement security and crime prevention programs
- Enforce laws and regulations in Tallapoosa and Coosa Counties
- Work under the commission of sheriffs' departments
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, or two-year college degree in criminal justice and public safety
- Three to five years of related experience in law enforcement, undercover narcotics investigations, K-9 units, community-, neighborhood- or problem-oriented policing
- Current P.O.S.T. certification prior to employment or upon employment
- Maintain firearms proficiency and physical requirements
