Investigative Reporter/Multimedia Journalist

About the role

Iowa's News Now is looking for an Investigative Reporter/MMJ who can dig deeper into stories, turning 2 to 3 pieces a week. This position requires close communication with the news director.

Responsibilities

• Reporting, shooting and editing news stories
• Enterprising story ideas
• Developing contacts
• Other responsibilities as assigned

Skills and Experience

• Sharp news judgment
• The ability to tell an NPPA style story
• Excellent technical skills
• The ability to work well independently
• Must have and maintain a valid license and a good driving record

Requirements and Qualifications

• A minimum of 2-3 years reporting experience is required
• Experience with live shots is a plus
