About the role

We’re looking for an Inventory VAS Supervisor for Amer Sports’ Distribution Center in Pittston Township, Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

  • Role model DC Pittston’s ethos, values, and safety standards in all day-to-day operations.
  • Lead, mentor, and coach warehouse personnel, team leads, and cross-functional teams to drive productivity and goal alignment.
  • Manage administrative duties, including timekeeping, workflow delegation, shift proxies, hiring interviews, and quarterly performance evaluations.
  • Train employees on end-to-end workflows, inventory control processes, WMS systems, and RF device utilization.
  • Author and distribute standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training manuals to enforce process discipline.
  • Own department KPIs for inventory and Value-Added Services (VAS), ensuring high accuracy and cost-efficient operations.
  • Resolve discrepancies between physical stock and system reporting through daily cycle counts and comprehensive root-cause research.
  • Manage stock health by evaluating min/max levels, executing overstock replenishments, and authorizing final discrepancy write-offs.
  • Oversee product lifecycles, including tracking aged inventory for commercial sales closeouts and managing end-of-life product disposal.
  • Facilitate annual inventory audits and partner with external auditors to validate warehouse control effectiveness.
  • Supervise VAS operations to guarantee compliance with service level agreements (SLAs), client routing guides, and brand stakeholder expectations.
  • Procure input materials proactively to prevent bottlenecks and sustain uninterrupted VAS workflows.
  • Investigate customer complaints regarding quality issues and implement decisive corrective actions.
  • Partner closely with Inbound, Outbound, and multi-site distribution teams to synchronize fluid inventory flow and storage strategies.
  • Research material quality issues promptly to execute proper quarantine or corrective sorting protocols.
  • Foster open communication by leading staff meetings, encouraging employee feedback, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment compliant with company policies and legislative health and safety regulations.
  • Execute duties autonomously with minimal supervision while maintaining readiness to support auxiliary warehouse teams and perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • This role requires 2+ years’ progressive experience in a fast-paced, high-volume distribution operation which includes automation; with 2+ years prior experience managing a team.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent experience with a focus on supply chain, logistics or other operational types is preferred.
  • Two (2) years of distribution/inventory control experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and inventory computer systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft SharePoint.
  • Plan and coordinate daily activities to ensure smooth, efficient operations.
  • Experience in process leadership.
  • Strong reading and logistical skills.
  • Knowledge of inventory management.
  • Experience in supervising a value-added services operation.
  • Experience with WMS and RF devices.
  • Experience with SAP.
  • Experience in BarTender, MAO is preferred.
  • Skilled in conflict management.
  • Obtain and maintain forklift certification, training and certification provided internally.
  • Clear and constructive communication across roles and functions.
  • A collaborative way of working, contributing to shared progress within a team.

Qualifications

  • This is a full-time, on-site, exempt position requiring a flexible, operations-based schedule. Hours of work are driven by leadership expectations and departmental needs, rather than a fixed standard shift.
  • Must be available for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift coverage, including weekends and holidays. Extended hours, early mornings, evenings, and additional shifts.

  • A reasonable estimate of the annual pay range is $65,000 - $75,000 at the time of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education, and/or training.
