Inventory Technician

About the role

As an Inventory Technician, you will work in a shop environment applying your technical and mechanical skills to test and evaluate dry-type and liquid-filled transformers. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role where you will join a team of qualified technicians responsible for testing and evaluating industrial transformers.

Responsibilities

• Operate electrical test equipment and power tools to test, evaluate, disassemble, and troubleshoot electrical transformers
• Electronically document test results, mechanical condition, dimensions, and accessories for each transformer
• Operate forklifts and cranes to organize inventory and unload transformers from flatbed and dry van trucks

• You dig deep to understand exactly what is or is not working
• You are comfortable with online documentation and web-based software systems (computer & smartphone)
• You are an excellent communicator: in-person, over the phone, and via email
• You are a quick learner; not a know-it-all

Basics

• 40–45 hours per week on a 5-day schedule, Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–4:00 PM
• Some additional paid overtime available during peak times
• Employees must meet basic physical requirements for a heavy-equipment environment: 90–100% on your feet; occasional exposure to confined spaces
• Must know how to use basic hand tools and follow written instructions

Experience & Education

We value welding, fabrication, general shop/mechanical skills, and auto body prep/paint experience, but we’re also willing to invest in early-career candidates with the right attitude and ambition.

Pay

Annual range: $56,000 – $73,000 USD (wages + bonus)
