About the role

The Front-End Inventory Systems & Control Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring inventory accuracy and operational efficiency within Front End sheet metal production. This position is responsible for running daily reports, researching discrepancies, maintaining accurate inventory levels, supporting month-end reconciliation, managing annual physical inventory, and correcting issues with material transactions. The role leads a team of four cycle counters, supports laser/NC programming, assists in developing Front End Team Leaders, partners with Production Leaders across all shifts, and troubleshoots routing and FabMES system issues. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to influence cross-functional teams.

The work is on-site (5 days).

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly inventory adjustments for Front End sheet metal production and incoming supplier material.
  • Prepare, analyze, and present weekly and monthly inventory control reports from Oracle.
  • Evaluate key metrics and recommend process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy.
  • Maintain and refine queries and reports in Oracle to support ongoing analysis.
  • Audit systems and processes to ensure data integrity.
  • Observe and evaluate business processes that impact inventory accuracy across the operation.
  • Conduct data analysis, inventory movement audits, and root-cause investigations.
  • Develop strong working knowledge of Oracle features to support users and resolve issues.
  • Manage multiple tasks independently with strong attention to detail and thorough follow-up.
  • Maintain flexibility with start and end times; support overtime and special projects as needed.
  • Meet performance expectations with limited supervision while following standard work.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
  • Provide clear written and verbal communication across all levels.
  • Respond promptly to email, phone, and radio communications.
  • Apply strong organizational and interpersonal skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Demonstrate advanced problem-solving capabilities.
  • Lead and influence cross-functional teams to achieve operational goals.
  • Serve as FabMES administrator.
  • Participate as a core team member for Front End MDI.

Requirements

  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as required.
  • Experience with Oracle is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical capabilities; A3 thinking experience preferred.
  • Solid understanding of distribution operations, including purchasing, inventory, and warehouse processes.
  • College degree is preferred.
  • 3–5 years of experience in inventory management, distribution, and/or operations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to read and interpret part drawings.

Pay

Hourly base pay range: $28.46 - $33.80. This is a safety-sensitive role that may require additional drug screening.
