Responsibilities
- Train, mentor, and develop team members.
- Develop, implement, and maintain inventory control policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Monitor and analyze inventory data, identify discrepancies, and investigate root causes to resolve inaccuracies.
- Meet regulatory agency & SOX requirements.
- Implement and maintain inventory cycle counting programs to ensure ongoing accuracy, minimizing disruptions to operations.
- Lead cycle count programs (daily/weekly/quarterly), including root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure inventory flow & timely reconciliation.
- Utilize inventory management software systems to track, monitor, and analyze inventory accuracy.
- Collaborate with IT to optimize system functionality, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements to improve inventory control processes.
- Ensure the integrity of inventory data by overseeing regular system audits and reconciliations.
- Continuously review and assess existing inventory control processes to identify areas for improvement.
- Implement standardized operating procedures and work instructions to enhance inventory accuracy and efficiency.
- Recommend and implement technological solutions, such as automation or AI, to streamline inventory control processes.
- Provide leadership and guidance and training on inventory management processes and best practices.
- Foster a collaborative environment, promoting effective communication and teamwork across different departments.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify training needs to develop a skilled and motivated team.
- Prepare reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inventory accuracy, stock levels, and operational metrics.
- Assist the Manager, Inventory in developing and implementing KPIs which track and trend departmental performance.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, patterns, and areas of improvement, and provide actionable recommendations.
- Communicate inventory-related information to stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Coach team members on performance and safety; provide inputs for performance evaluations and may be involved in pay actions including approving employee timecards, PTO requests, etc.
- Handle employee scheduling.
- Participate in candidate job interviews.
- Partner with the People Business Advisory
Qualifications and Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 3+ years proven leadership experience or relevant work experience in a warehouse environment with an emphasis on inventory control and cycle counts.
- Experience with Microsoft Office software and Warehouse Management System.
- Applies acquired expertise and exercises judgment to analyze and solve problems without clear precedent.
- Analysis of situation or data requires review of relevant factors.
- Must possess a customer-centric commitment to build and maintain customer relationships.
- Energetic, self-motivated, and quick thinking with a positive attitude.
