Inventory Specialist - Day Shift (2-2-3 Schedule)

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory counts across all warehouse locations
• Perform regular cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies
• Update inventory management systems with receipt and shipment information
• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports
• Analyze inventory trends and recommend improvements
• Coordinate with receiving and shipping departments
• Investigate and resolve inventory variances
• Streamline inventory processes through continuous improvement

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of experience in inventory management or warehouse operations
• Proficiency with inventory management systems and warehouse management software
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Familiarity with barcode scanning and RF devices
• Basic understanding of ERP systems
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts

Additional Qualifications, Preferred

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field
• 3+ years of inventory management experience in furniture, retail, or manufacturing industry
• Experience with SAP, Manhattan, or similar enterprise warehouse management systems
• Forklift certification and experience operating warehouse equipment
• Knowledge of cycle counting methodologies and inventory accuracy improvement techniques
• Lifetime Lean or Six Sigma certification with process improvement experience
• Understanding of inventory control principles
• Proficiency with data visualization tools

Work Environment

• Moderate to high noise levels
• Temperature variations
• Material handling equipment in operation
• Extended periods of standing or walking on concrete floors
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Fast-paced environment with time-sensitive and safety-sensitive operations
• Varying shift schedules

Schedule

• 2-2-3 rotating schedule (work 2 days, off 2 days, work 3 days)
• Shift Hours: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM (12-hour shifts)

Pay

$19.00 - $23.00/hour (depending on experience)
