About the role
Sportech is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as an Inventory Control Specialist. This role is responsible for monitoring and controlling inventory integrity processes, supporting inventory and warehousing initiatives, and leading cycle counting activities.
Responsibilities
- Leads the day-to-day cycle counting activities to ensure current counts are completed while improving inventory accuracy.
- Generates cycle count lists of materials to count on a daily basis.
- Investigates inventory discrepancies and escalates adjustments as needed.
- Determines methods of inventory correction and enters data through Epicor to update inventory records.
- Aids in the training of staff in cycle counting and inventory transactions.
- Drives a continuous improvement culture by involving employees in problem-solving and decision-making.
- Maintains a safe working environment and follows 5S procedures.
- Performs physical counts or leads counts of products and locations as necessary.
- Supports other inventory and warehousing initiatives as required.
Requirements
- Associate degree preferred, but a high school diploma or equivalent with 1 year or more of relevant experience is acceptable.
- Forklift training and certification are required.
- Ability to lift and perform physically demanding tasks associated with material handling and receiving.
- Accurate counting skills.
- Some computer skills.
- Ability to collaborate and build relationships with team members.
- Ability to lead small groups and provide work direction.

Pay
Sportech offers a reasonable and good-faith estimate for new hire compensation at the time of posting for this position to be $22.00 - $26.00 per hour. Pay may also include variable compensation such as overtime, shift differential, and bonuses (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
