Inventory Specialist
About the role
This position plays a crucial role in ensuring efficient inventory management across supply chain, production, warehouse, and customer service teams. The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, analyzing data, and implementing corrective actions to optimize inventory levels.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with Supply Chain, Production, Warehouse, and Customer Service teams to align inventory with operational requirements.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts and inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Analyze inventory data to develop and execute inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Support annual physical inventory activities and audit preparation, collaborating with warehouse personnel to ensure proper labeling, storage, and transaction processes.
- Assist with inventory-related projects, system enhancements, and process improvement initiatives.
- Utilize ERP and inventory management systems to identify and resolve inventory issues, ensuring compliance with quality standards and safety regulations.
- Perform additional responsibilities and special projects as assigned by management, supporting warehouse and inventory control initiatives as needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required, with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in inventory control, inventory management, warehouse operations, or materials management.
- Strong understanding of inventory control principles and best practices, including cycle counts, inventory audits, and variance investigations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, with a focus on compliance with company policies, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, LN, or similar platforms, and knowledge of material planning methodologies, including forecasting, min/max inventory levels, reorder points, and safety stock management.
- Manufacturing or distribution environment experience, with experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in an office and warehouse environment.
- Frequent walking throughout warehouse and production areas.
