About the role
The Inventory Putaway Associate is responsible for packing items according to receiving associates, scanning HD labels to the correct storage location, transporting items to designated locations, ensuring items are placed in the correct bins for efficient retrieval, and maintaining organization and cleanliness in the storage area.
Responsibilities
- Inventory Putaway Associate I: Pack items accordingly, scan HD labels, transport items, maintain organization, meet productivity and accuracy goals, lift up to 50 lbs safely.
- Inventory Putaway Associate II: Independently scan, sort, and transport items, assist in optimizing bin locations, troubleshoot minor discrepancies, communicate with other teams, train and mentor Level I employees, ensure compliance with safety standards and operational protocols, lift up to 50 lbs safely.
- Inventory Putaway Associate III: Oversee daily putaway operations, monitor and analyze efficiency, train and mentor Level I and Level II associates, resolve discrepancies, coordinate with inventory control teams, enforce safety protocols, assist in warehouse optimization projects, lift up to 50 lbs safely.
Requirements
- Inventory Putaway Associate I: 0-1 year of experience in warehouse operations, stocking, or inventory control; basic understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management; ability to use scanning devices and follow putaway procedures; familiarity with warehouse storage locations and binning processes.
- Inventory Putaway Associate II: 2-4 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or putaway processes; prior experience using scan guns and WMS; familiarity with operating different types of warehouse equipment; proficient in warehouse putaway processes and inventory tracking systems; ability to troubleshoot and resolve minor discrepancies in bin locations; knowledge of storage optimization techniques to improve efficiency.
- Inventory Putaway Associate III: 5+ years of experience in warehouse logistics, inventory control, or putaway management; prior leadership or supervisory experience in a warehouse setting; extensive experience with WMS and scanning technology; strong problem-solving skills for handling complex inventory discrepancies; advanced knowledge of warehouse logistics and putaway strategies; ability to analyze and improve storage processes for better efficiency; expertise in troubleshooting inventory errors and adjusting bin locations.
Qualifications
- Inventory Putaway Associate I: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Inventory Putaway Associate II: Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Inventory Putaway Associate III: Master's degree preferred.
Skills
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Ability to use scanning devices and follow putaway procedures.
- Familiarity with warehouse storage locations and binning processes.
- Proficient in warehouse putaway processes and inventory tracking systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve minor discrepancies in bin locations.

Benefits
- Base pay starts at $18.00/hour plus a potential quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
- Actual pay determined by experience level, skills, qualifications & work location.
- This position is located onsite in Belvidere, Illinois.
- No travel required.

Pay
- Base pay starts at $18.00/hour plus a potential quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
Schedule
- Available Shift: Monday-Friday 8:30a-5p.
