About the role

The Inventory Planner is responsible for managing and optimizing inventory levels to meet customer demands while minimizing costs and ensuring efficient supply chain operations.

Responsibilities

  • Plan inventory for assigned product lines, including forecasting, setting replenishment criteria, purchasing, and distributing inventory through the service center network.
  • Set up new items, including bills of material and the warehouse management system.
  • Work with service center teams to troubleshoot inventory, picking, and receiving issues.
  • Expedite with suppliers and manufacturing sites.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing sites to optimize the replenishment process.
  • Support the customer service team to meet customer needs.
  • Work with the sales team on stocking programs, product introductions, and product end of life.
  • Perform other tasks or functions as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of pertinent work experience (supply chain and logistics preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • ASCM Certification preferred.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Self-motivated with a desire and talent to advance professionally.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • High standards of integrity.
  • Willing to travel as needed.
  • Proficient in MS Excel.
  • ERP experience required; QAD experience is a major plus.

Pay

Estimated salary range: $65,000–$80,000 yearly. Individual pay is based on location, skills, expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
