Inventory Planner I

About the role

The Inventory Planner supports the management of raw material and finished goods inventory within the manufacturing and warehouse facility. They ensure a continuous and efficient flow of materials to support production schedules and meet customer demand.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and report on inventory levels and on-hand quantities to prevent stockouts and overstock situations.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure accuracy between system records and physical stock.
• Ensure inventory is managed according to LIFO/FIFO requirements.
• Identify and resolve simple discrepancies in inventory counts and records.
• Synchronize inventory records across business systems.
• Absorb and communicate shipping errors.
• Identify and communicate obsolete, outdated, or slow-moving inventory.
• Collaborate with quality regarding red tag or off-spec material to ensure adequate segregation and disposition.
• Assist in generating regular reports on inventory status and key performance indicators (KPIs) for management.
• Follow established procedures to improve inventory management processes and increase efficiency.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
• Associate’s Degree preferred.
• 1+ years of experience in a supply chain, inventory, or a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Basic proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets.
