Inventory logistics leader
About the role
We are in need of a team member to oversee daily inventory needs, back stock logistics, and support the retail function while growing with us. This role is ideal for someone with experience in small business warehousing or inventory, or for students studying logistics and distribution at NWTI or UWGB looking to gain real-world experience. Our owners have a proven record of developing multi-distribution-channel businesses throughout Wisconsin.
We are also looking for friendly, highly motivated Fashion Consultants to join our team. Uptown Cheapskate is an exciting retail store concept selling quality clothing brands at affordable prices. Our stores buy and resell thousands of gently used clothing items monthly, offering a boutique-like shopping experience rather than a traditional thrift shop.
At Uptown Cheapskate, we are passionate about sustainable fashion and dedicated to reducing the fashion industry’s environmental impact. By supporting resale, you contribute to a sustainable and green economy.
Since 2015, Uptown Cheapskate has partnered with Kid to Kid and buildOn to raise funds for building schools in developing countries, raising over $600,000 and funding 18 schools (and counting) in communities across Mali, Burkina Faso, Senegal, Haiti, Nepal, Malawi, and Nicaragua.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily inventory needs and back stock logistics.
- Support retail functions and contribute to store growth.
- Assist in buying and reselling gently used clothing items.
- Engage with customers in a boutique-like retail environment.
- Promote sustainable fashion practices.
Requirements
- Experience in small business warehousing or inventory, or studying logistics/distribution at NWTI or UWGB.
- Passion for fashion, sustainability, or finding great deals.
- Friendly, highly motivated, and team-oriented.
