Inventory Kitting Specialist-Weekend shift

About the role

Leidos Defense Systems Electrical Manufacturing is seeking an Inventory Kitting Specialist on the weekend shift to support the manufacturing of electrical and mechanical components in Huntsville, AL. Overtime may be required based on business demands.

Responsibilities

• Perform cycle counting and stocking/tracking of components
• Fulfill requests for materials and perform inventory actions using corporate accounting software
• Assemble kits for manufacturing, delivery, and pickup of material
• Perform component serialization/marking
• Support materials audits, material handling, and maintain cleanliness and organization
• Demonstrate strong personal organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently

Basic Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED with at least one year of relevant inventory control experience
• Experience using Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
• Ability to work with department leadership to contribute to strategic planning and long-term vision for the stockroom team
• Valid driver’s license and sufficient driving record to perform delivery and pickup activities
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
• Ability to work both independently and in a cohesive team environment
• Resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to Huntsville – North Alabama, AL
• US Citizen and ability to obtain/maintain Final Secret Clearance or meet eligibility to obtain/maintain Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Deltek CostPoint
• Knowledge of electronic components handling requirements
• Familiarity with ESD Processes & Procedures
• Understanding of electronics kitting requirements
• Experience implementing Lot and/or Date code tracking
• Ability to implement tracking systems for parts temporarily located at internal or external assembly locations
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to maintain workplace cleanliness

Schedule

Weekend shift: Friday through Sunday. Mandatory attendance required.

Pay

Pay range: $35,750.00 – $64,625.00 (level of opportunity and compensation will be matched to candidate experience).
