About the role

The Inventory Functional Business Analyst serves as a key member of an ERP transformation team, leading the implementation of Workday Inventory across the full project lifecycle. This role partners closely with operational stakeholders, project leadership, system integrators, functional teams, and technical resources to design, configure, test, deploy, and stabilize Workday Inventory solutions. The analyst translates complex business requirements into effective system configurations and ensures that inventory processes operate efficiently within the broader ERP landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Support the end-to-end implementation of Workday Inventory as part of a large-scale ERP transformation.
  • Collaborate with operational stakeholders, project leadership, system integrators, and cross-functional teams to design and refine inventory-related business processes.
  • Configure Workday Inventory functionality to align with defined business requirements and supply chain processes.
  • Gather, document, and validate detailed business requirements for inventory and related ERP processes.
  • Cook up and execute testing activities, including test planning, test case development, and test execution for Workday Inventory.
  • Manage defect tracking and resolution during testing cycles, working closely with technical and functional teams to ensure timely remediation.
  • Contribute to reporting requirements by helping define, document, and validate inventory-related reports and analytics.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, including functional specifications, process flows, and user procedures for Workday Inventory.
  • Participate in cutover planning activities, helping to define and execute tasks required to transition from legacy systems to Workday Inventory.
  • Provide go-live support and participate in hypercare activities to stabilize the system and address post-implementation issues.
  • Partner with stakeholders at all organizational levels to ensure alignment, manage expectations, and drive adoption of new inventory processes.
  • Apply strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills to diagnose issues, recommend solutions, and improve inventory processes within Workday.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences, providing updates, training, and guidance as needed.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of ERP implementation experience supporting full project lifecycles.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Workday Inventory configuration and functionality.
  • Past experience gathering, documenting, and validating business requirements.
  • Experience coordinating testing efforts, including test planning, execution, and defect management.
  • Experience with data conversion activities, including data mapping, validation, and migration for inventory or related modules.
  • Experience defining and supporting reporting requirements for inventory and ERP processes.
  • Knowledge of cutover planning, go-live support, and hypercare activities in an ERP environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with ERP project management activities within the scope of functional implementation.
  • Experience in inventory control and supply chain management.
  • Experience implementing Workday solutions, specifically Workday Inventory.

Qualifications

  • Workday Certification, with Inventory certification preferred.
  • Experience in the healthcare industry.
  • Experience supporting large-scale ERP transformations.
  • Experience working with system integrators and cross-functional project teams.
  • Contract-based project experience in ERP or Workday implementations.

Skills

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with ERP project management activities within the scope of functional implementation.
  • Experience in inventory control and supply chain management.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90.00 - $100.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
