Inventory Forecasting Planner
About the role
The Inventory Forecasting Planner is responsible for developing, monitoring, and adjusting demand models using historical data, seasonal trends, promotional plans, and real-time sales feedback to optimize forecast accuracy and inventory performance. They build short- and long-term inventory plans that support business objectives, capacity constraints, and service targets across distribution centers. They analyze root causes of inventory imbalances and recommend actionable solutions to improve flow, availability, and freshness. They collaborate closely with Buying, Merchandising, our 3PL, Logistics, and other cross-functional teams to align on forecast adjustments, inventory priorities, and launch readiness for seasonal and new products. They maintain accurate forecasting data and inventory metrics in AI planning systems while proactively communicating forecast changes, risks, and opportunities to internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Develop, monitor, and adjust demand models using historical data, seasonal trends, promotional plans, and real-time sales feedback to optimize forecast accuracy and inventory performance.
- Build short- and long-term inventory plans that support business objectives, capacity constraints, and service targets across distribution centers.

Requirements
- At least 3 years of inventory planning experience.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical capabilities with proficiency in forecasting tools, advanced Excel modeling, and data-driven decision-making.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems, forecasting methodologies, and broader supply chain strategies.
- A detail-oriented approach with strong problem-solving, organizational, and risk-identification skills.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities, supported by a customer-focused mindset.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and maintain a flexible schedule that supports occasional travel and weekend availability.
Skills
- Experience with network modeling tools, preferred but not required.
